2021 Great Lent (the Great Fast)

WE ARE IN THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER!  

During Great Lent, we are called to increase our prayer, fasting, and almsgiving (charity).  Please join us for as many services as you are able to increase your community prayer life.

Week 1 "Clean Week" Starting Monday, March 15

   9:30 am Thursday - The Great Canon of Repentance

   9:30 am Friday - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts

   9:30 am Saturday - All Souls Divine Liturgy and Panachida (Memorial Service)

   11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday - Confessions heard*

     (* Confessions will also be heard following all services)

   9:30 am Orthodoxy Sunday - Divine Liturgy of St. Basil with a procession of icons

Week 2 Starting Monday, March 22

   9:30 am Tuesday - Para-Liturgical Service - Lenten Third Hour

   6:00 pm Wednesday - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts

   9:30 am Friday - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts

   9:30 am Sunday of St. Gregory Palamas - Divine Liturgy of St. Basil

   9:30 am Sunday of the Holy Cross - Divine Liturgy of St. Basil

Week 4 Starting Monday, April 5

   9:30 am Tuesday - Para-Liturgical Service - Moleben (Prayer Service) to the Holy Cross

   6:00 pm Wednesday - Vesperal Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Annunciation

   9:30 am Friday - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts

   9:30 am Saturday - All Souls Divine Liturgy and Panachida (Memorial Service)

   11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday - Confessions heard*

   9:30 am Sunday of St. John of the Ladder - Divine Liturgy of St. Basil

Week 5 Starting Monday, April 12

Holy Week Starting Monday, April 26

   6:00 pm Holy Wednesday - Mystery of Holy Unction (followed by the Mystery of Confession)

***Final day for Holy Confession until after Pascha

   9:30 am Holy Thursday - Vesperal Liturgy (Mystical Supper)

   6:00 pm Holy Thursday - Twelve Passion Gospels (Matins of Friday)

   9:30 am Holy and Good Friday - Royal Hours (a day of strict-fasting)

   6:00 pm Holy and Good Friday - Vespers and Procession of the Holy Shroud (a day of strict-fasting)

   9:30 am Holy Saturday - Vesperal Liturgy (a day of strict-fasting)
